I Love North Shields

Art direction and design consultancy for I Love North Shields - a free monthly publication, created by a community of volunteers living and working in North Shields.

I met the editor at a networking event and we got chatting about her idea for a community newspaper. I began to see how it could look in my head - great photography against bright backgrounds, a different colour for each issue. I went home and started worked on the concept for the cover that same evening.

Aswell as the cover design I set the grids, template and fonts for the magazine. The team use this to design the pages and then I go in and do my final checks - tidying up the design, the flow of articles, checking folios/page numbers, and generally get it ready for publishing each month.
